Texans' DeAndre Hopkins undergoes wrist surgery

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Houston Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins was hampered by a wrist injury late in 2014 and forced to have offseason surgery.

Hopkins told CBSHouston on Saturday that the procedure was to fix a torn ligament. The good news for Texans fans is that the wideout said the injury was minor and he will be able to resume workouts in a couple of weeks.

The 22-year-old has given Houston an additional receiving threat to the reliable Andre Johnson. Hopkins hauled in six touchdowns and more than 1,200 yards last season.
