Rams' Jeff Fisher denies Sam Bradford given permission to seek trade

Many have questioned whether quarterback Sam Bradford will be back with the St. Louis Rams next season, but those inside the organization remain steadfast that he's in their plans.

Two days after general manager Les Snead dismissed the notion Bradford was given permission to seek a trade, head coach Jeff Fisher echoed the claim.

"I was surprised to hear that,'' Fisher told Mary Kay Cabot from cleveland.com. "That's inaccurate. No, I mean. We talked about what our plans are for him.''

Fisher highlighted Bradford's strong play when he's been healthy and that the team will be relying on him going forward.

"When we've had him, he's 5-2-1 in our division. And we weren't very good when we got here, so we're counting on him. I'm betting on him and if that doesn't happen, then we'll win games with somebody else.''

Bradford is coming off two ACL tears in as many years and will be making nearly $13 million in 2015, so it wouldn't be shocking if the Rams wanted to start fresh.

At the moment, though, it appears they're proceeding as if Bradford will be their best option behind center next season.
