Chargers agree to terms with King Dunlap on 4-year deal

King Dunlap won't be hitting free agency after all.

The San Diego Chargers agreed to terms on a new four-year deal with the left tackle on Friday.

The deal is worth $28 million, reports Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego.

Re-signing Dunlap was a high priority for the Chargers as he would've been one of the top tackles to hit the open market.

Dunlap was the lone bright spot on a line that gave up 36 sacks last year and quarterback Philip Rivers was certainly excited to learn he was coming back.

D.J. Fluker struggled at right tackle and the Chargers were decimated by injuries at center, so retaining Dunlap at least gives them one solid piece up front heading into next season.
