Report: Packers express interest in re-signing Davon House

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

The Green Bay Packers have several players scheduled to become unrestricted free agents next month, and cornerback Davon House is one they have their sights set on re-signing.

While House reaching the free-agent market could complicate negotiations, both sides have recently expressed an interest in getting a deal done, as reported by Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

House was limited to rotational duties when healthy last season, but fellow cornerback Tramon Williams also hitting the open market could mean he'll have the opportunity to earn a starting job with Green Bay.

The 25-year-old has tallied 99 tackles, two interceptions and two sacks over his four-year career, and should be one of the Packers' top free-agent priorities along with wide receiver Randall Cobb and right tackle Bryan Bulaga.
