VIDEO: Russell Wilson takes responsibility for Super Bowl defeat

Mark J. Rebilas / USA TODAY Sports

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson accepted blame for his team's loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX.

Wilson threw the game-sealing interception with 20 seconds remaining, as the Patriots clinched a 28-24 victory.

Less than a month after the crushing defeat, a typically upbeat Wilson candidly spoke about moving on from the title game in a video released by The Players' Tribune.

"I'm the one that threw the pass, but I know that I'll throw another one," Wilson said. "And hopefully I’ll be remembered for something different."

It's not all bad news for Wilson. He's won the most games by any quarterback through three NFL seasons and is widely expected to become the league's highest-paid player in the offseason.
