Report: Jets expected to pursue C.J. Spiller in free agency

Mike DiNovo / USA TODAY Sports

About month ago, Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller expressed that he felt he'd be a perfect fit for the New York Jets. Now, it appears the Jets may agree.

New York would be very interested in pursuing Spiller in free agency, according to Kimberley A. Martin of Newsday.

The deciding factor could be Jets offensive coordinator Chan Gailey, who drafted Spiller when he was the head coach of the Bills.

Spiller enjoyed his finest season under Gailey, running for more than 1,200 yards in 2012.

Of course, Spiller is not yet a free agent and the Bills could potentially lock him up before March 10.
