Knighton on talks with Broncos: 'Frustrating and it’s somewhat disrespectful'

Denver Broncos defensive tackle Terrance Knighton wants to re-sign with the team, though the feeling may not be mutual.

The negotiations aren't going well, the free-agent-to-be told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

"I think I've made it very clear to them that I want to be a Bronco," Knighton said. "My agent tried to get something done before the year, during the year, immediately when the season was over, and they just haven’t had the same interest."

Knighton was a key member of a defense that finished second against the run in 2014.

"To be quite honest with you it’s frustrating and it’s somewhat disrespectful just knowing how important I was to the team and what the defense could’ve been without somebody like me. It’s almost like, the longer they wait the worse it is going to be."

The run stopper isn't Denver's only concern this offseason, though. The Broncos still have Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, Orlando Franklin, among others that are impending free agents.
