Jets noncommittal on Percy Harvin's future

Adam Hunger / USA TODAY Sports

The New York Jets are still evaluating Percy Harvin's role - if any - with the team in 2015, head coach Todd Bowles told reporters Wednesday.

Harvin is owed $10.5 million in salary in 2015, but the Jets can get out of the obligation if they release the wide receiver before March 19.

Complicating matters, the Jets owe the Seattle Seahawks a fourth-round draft pick if Harvin remains on the roster at 4 p.m. ET on March 19. If Harvin is off the roster, the compensation drops to a sixth-rounder.

Harvin caught 29 passes for 350 yards and one touchdown after joining the Jets via midseason trade in 2014.
