Chargers hire Mike Nolan as linebackers coach

The San Diego Chargers have hired Mike Nolan as their linebackers coach, the team announced Thursday.
Nolan brings plenty of experience to the Chargers' staff, having spent time as the defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons over the past six seasons.
Nolan was also the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers for 55 games from 2005 to 2008, tallying an 18-37 record in that span.
