The Denver Broncos have settled on a defensive coordinator.
Denver has hired the well-respected Wade Phillips to fill the role, the team announced.
Head coach Gary Kubiak knows Phillips well from their time with the Houston Texans. Phillips served as Kubiak's defensive coordinator from 2011-13.
The 67-year-old also has considerable head coaching experience, most notably with the Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys.
Mike Klis of The Denver Post notes that the deal is for two years and the Broncos will likely move to a 3-4 under Phillips.
