Kim Klement / US PRESSWIRE

Raheem Morris's deal to join the Atlanta Falcons is all but official, as he's now verbally accepted an offer to become the team's assistant head coach, according to NFL Network's Albert Breer.

Joining the staff of soon-to-be head coach Dan Quinn, Morris will have the responsibility of running the Falcons' pass defense.

Morris spent the past three seasons as the Washington Redskins' secondary coach following a three-year stint as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
