Patriots' Tom Brady on 'Deflategate': 'My feelings got hurt'

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady remains focused on next weekend's Super Bowl matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, but that doesn't mean he hasn't taken the NFL's "Deflategate" investigation personally.

"I personalized a lot of things and thought this was all about me and my feelings got hurt, and then I moved past it because it's not serving me," Brady said Monday morning on WEEI's "Dennis & Callahan," according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.

The Patriots allegedly underinflating their footballs for last week's AFC Championship has been the talk of the league ever since, and much of the attention has understandably been on Brady as a result.

Though he's well aware of the negative reaction he's received throughout the ongoing process, the veteran quarterback also understands the situation at hand.

It's all part of the business and you deal with the ups and the downs, the good and the bad, and I'm excited to play in the Super Bowl for the sixth time. It's a pretty amazing accomplishment for our team based on where we started. That's where I'm at; I'm in a great place. We've had a great week in practice. We're going to go down and try to finish strong.

The questions about the investigation aren't likely to go away anytime soon, presenting an unwanted distraction as the Patriots prepare to take on the NFC's top-seeded Seahawks on football's biggest stage.
