Russ Knight's dream of covering a Super Bowl quickly turned into a nightmare.

Knight was selected to be an assistant frequency coordinator during Super Bowl XLIX and posted a photo of his newly issued credential online.

Big mistake, Russ.

NFL security called a despondent Knight and revoked his credential for the league's championship.

"He said Russ, we've got a problem," Knight said to KTVK-3TV. "Apparently, on my picture, even though it's far away, they could zoom in and they could read my credential on the bottom."

On the league-issued credentials, it explicitly states not to post photos of credentials online, to prevent duplication.

"I can't blame anybody else," Knight said. "I was the guy. I was the fool who didn't read the fine print. I was that guy."
