Saints confirm hiring of Jeff Ireland as college scout

The New Orleans Saints made their hiring of former Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland official Wednesday.
Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said that while it's difficult to part ways with longtime college scouting director Rick Reiprish, he's excited about what Ireland brings to the team.
Loomis said Ireland will be in charge of the college scouting department, but he has yet to decide on a formal title.
