Tony Sparano was passed over for the Oakland Raiders' head coaching job, but he may not have to look far for work.

The San Francisco 49ers are believed to be interested in hiring Sparano as their tight ends coach, Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports.

Sparano went 3-9 as the Raiders' interim head coach in 2014, including a 24-13 victory over the 49ers in Week 14. He previously served as a tight ends coach for the Washington Redskins, Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys from 2001-04.
