Report: Bengals won't allow Vance Joseph to leave to become Broncos' DC

Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports

The Cincinnati Bengals will not allow defensive backs coach Vance Joseph leave his position to take a gig with the Denver Broncos as their defensive coordinator, according to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports.

Joseph interviewed for Denver's head coaching vacancy last week, a job which eventually went to Gary Kubiak. But that interview reportedly sparked interest from the Broncos in bringing in Joseph as the team's defensive coordinator.

Joseph served as the secondary coach for the Houston Texans from 2011 to 2013 under Kubiak.
