Vikings GM won't commit to Adrian Peterson returning in 2015

Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman broke his silence on Adrian Peterson on Wednesday, but would not give a definitive answer on whether the running back will return to the team in 2015.

Peterson was suspended by the NFL in November after pleading no contest to misdemeanor reckless assault for disciplining his four-year-old son with a wooden switch. He will be eligible for reinstatement April 15.

Asked by USA TODAY Sports' Tom Pelissero if he wants Peterson back next season, Spielman said he doesn't know any team that wouldn't.

Spielman also said the Vikings are barred from speaking with Peterson during his suspension, which means that if the team does want him back next season, they'll have to wait until he is reinstated to tell him.
