AFC South Notebook: Colts embarrassed by Cowboys, Keenum notches first win

Every Monday and Friday, theScore's NFL editors will bring you a roundup of everything you need to know from around the division with the AFC South Notebook.

Indianapolis Colts

Colts embarrassed by Cowboys. There wasn't much to like about the Colts' 42-7 demolition at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon.

Hilton's absence felt. The absence of T.Y. Hilton seriously limited the big-play element of the Colts passing game against the Cowboys. Hilton sat out with a hamstring injury.

"We had big play opportunities and just didn't capitalize. We didn't stop the bleeding," Reggie Wayne told ESPN. "They got rough in the beginning and we couldn't find a way to get it going."

McDonald blows big play. Dewey McDonald lost concentration during a fake punt play on Sunday that could have changed the complexion of the game.

"You just have to look it in," McDonald told ESPN. "Just the basics pretty much. I didn't look it in."

Houston Texans

Texans dent Ravens playoff hopes. With a 25-13 victory on Sunday afternoon, the Texans put a huge dent in the Baltimore Ravens playoff hopes.

Mutombo teaches Watt to finger wag. Former NBA All-Star Dikembe Mutombo taught J.J. Watt some proper finger-wagging techniques prior to Sunday's game.

Watt continued his ongoing quest to create havoc for opposing offenses, racking up eight combined tackles and a sack.

Keenum notches first win. Texans quarterback Case Keenum was the winning quarterback for the first time in his NFL career Sunday.

"I can’t put words on it," Keenum told CBS Houston. "It’s very special."

Jacksonville Jaguars

Marks wants to make the Pro Bowl. The Jaguars' Sen'Derrick Marks, who ranks second among NFL defensive tackles with 8.5 sacks, is hoping to be named to the Pro Bowl team.

Miller and Marks split the dinner bill. Speaking of Marks, he celebrated his $600,000 sack bonus by taking some teammates out for dinner. Though, Marks wasn't stuck with the entire bill as Roy Miller - who signed a four-year, $16.25-million deal earlier in the week - helped split the check.

Scobee and Lewis make 20th anniversary team. Two current Jaguars - kicker Josh Scobee and tight end Marcedes Lewis - were named to the 20th Anniversary All-time team by The Florida Times-Union.

Tennessee Titans

Titans doing homework on Cutler. The Titans are reportedly one of the teams interested in the services of benched Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Sankey makes mild impact. Bishop Sankey, the first running back selected in this year's NFL draft, has made a mild impact during his rookie campaign. He's rushed for 551 yards and a pair of touchdowns in 15 games (eight starts).

Titans' historic nine-game losing streak. As ESPN's Paul Kuharsky points out, the Titans' current losing streak is truly historic.

Nine consecutive losses with all of them against teams coming off a loss is the longest streak of its kind in NFL history.
