Report: Bills release Mike Williams

Now recovered from his calf injury, the Buffalo Bills have released wide receiver Mike Williams, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Williams and the team previously came to terms on an injury settlement, and he will now officially become free to sign with another team.

While it's unlikely that the 27-year-old would catch on with another organization for the upcoming playoffs, there could be one willing to take a chance on his talent if a pressing need were to emerge at the wide receiver position.

Williams has tallied 223 receptions for 3,089 yards and 26 touchdowns over the course of his five-year career.
