Russell Wilson led the Seattle Seahawks to a commanding 35-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals, taking over the NFC playoff picture.
Wilson was outstanding, going 20-of-31 for 339 yards and two touchdowns, while adding 88 yards and a touchdown on six carries.
Both Seattle and Arizona have clinched playoff berths, but the Seahawks will be the NFC's top seed with a win over the St. Louis Rams next week.
Here's what you need to know:
- Marshawn Lynch did not enter the game until the second quarter due to an upset stomach. Lynch rushed for two touchdowns, including a 79-yard run that was the longest of his career. The Seahawks' star finished with 113 yards on 10 carries.
- Wilson rushed for the longest run of his career, rattling off a 55-yard run to end the first quarter.
- After the Cardinals took a 3-0 lead, the Seahawks responded promptly. Wilson threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to Luke Willson, tying the longest touchdown pass of his career. Willson ended the game with three catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns.
- Ryan Lindley struggled for the Cardinals, going 18-of-44 for 216 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. Lindley tried to make some plays downfield but was no match for the vaunted Seahawks' defense.
- Steven Hauschka missed three field goals for the Seahawks; he had missed just three all year prior to Sunday.
- Doug Baldwin had a great game, catching seven passes for 113 yards.
- Seattle has allowed under 10 points for the fourth time in five games.
