Cowboys' DeMarco Murray will play vs. Colts with pad on hand

Jim O'Connor-USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray, who is officially listed as questionable, will play in Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts with a pad on his injured left hand.

Murray underwent surgery on a broken bone in his hand earlier in the week, but the team has remained confident in his availability for their Week 16 matchup.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Cowboys are nervous about how Murray will hold up in pass-blocking. It is expected the team will make use of its other backs, Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar.

Rapoport went on to say the plan is to rest Murray and some of the team's other veterans in Week 17 if they have a playoff spot locked up.
