Redskins place Brandon Meriweather on season-ending IR

The Washington Redskins placed safety Brandon Meriweather on injured reserve with a toe injury Friday, ending his season.
Meriweather suffered a toe sprain in Week 13 and has not played since. He finishes the season with 55 tackles, three sacks and three forced fumbles.
The Redskins signed linebacker Steve Beauharnais off their practice squad in a subsequent move.
