Cam Newton: (Back) Takes All First-Team Reps Thursday

Newton (back) handled all first-team reps in the individual portion of drills Thursday, Joe Person of Charlotte Observer reports.

Analysis:

The development comes one day removed from Newton splitting reps with his backup, Derek Anderson, and could mean that the former is on track to start in Week 16 against the Browns. Such a decision is expected to be made by coach Ron Rivera on Friday, which won't leave owners in limbo heading into the weekend.
