Carlos Hyde: (Ankle) No Practice Wednesday

Hyde (ankle) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, the Sacramento Bee reports.

Analysis:

Hyde joined top running back Frank Gore (concussion) on the sideline to kick off the week of preparation, leaving Alfonso Smith and recent pickup Phillip Tanner as the sole healthy RB options. Their statuses could very well clear up as the week rolls on, but Smith would likely head a backfield without the services of Hyde and Gore, if such a scenario comes to fruition.
