Report: Rams want Sam Bradford back in 2015

Jasen Vinlove / USA TODAY Sports

St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is rehabbing his second torn ACL in as many years. That, combined with a hefty contract, have some thinking the team may part ways with Bradford before next season.

But that may not be the case, according to NFL Network's Albert Breer.

Bradford, a former first overall pick, has been nothing but mediocre in his four seasons, but neither Shaun Hill nor Austin Davis stepped up this season to claim the job.

There is some thought the Rams could draft Oregon's Marcus Mariota, but with a 6-7 record, they're unlikely to pick high enough to get him.

The Rams' best bet would be to hang onto Bradford and see what he can do in 2015, if they can rework his contract into a more suitable figure.
