Devon Still's ex-girlfriend says there was a 'voluntary agreement' in place for child support

The mother of Devon Still's four-year-old cancer-stricken daughter, Leah, told TMZ Sports that while there is no court order requiring the Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle to pay child support, the two had what she calls a voluntary agreement in place.

The New York Daily News reported Wednesday that civil rights attorney Gloria Allred wrote a letter to the NFL on behalf of Leah's mother, Channing Smythe, asking for an investigation into whether Still violated the league's Personal Conduct Policy by not making child support payments.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Smythe said she worked out an unofficial financial agreement with Still, but the deal fell apart during the summer when Still wanted Smyth and Leah to move to Cincinnati to be closer to him.

"I don't feel that it was right for me to move her," Smythe said. "(Delaware) is where all her friends and family are and this is where we have been building our life. He was very upset about that and that’s when he stopped giving me money."

Smythe said that while she's grateful to Still for helping to pay for Leah's clothes and medical bills, she needs more money because her daughter's medical condition prevents her from working.

Smythe said she has started the paperwork to get court-ordered child support, but her and Still, whom she calls a wonderful father, have yet to reach an agreement.
