Jets' Muhammad Wilkerson unlikely to play vs. Dolphins

The New York Jets' nightmare season continues to get worse by the day.

Defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson appears unlikely to play Monday night against the Miami Dolphins with a toe injury. Head coach Rex Ryan said Wilkerson didn't suffer a fracture, and that the injury is likely turf toe.

"It doesn't look good for Big Mo," Ryan said to ESPN's Rich Cimini on Wednesday. "If you're in a boot, that doesn't look good for this week. But, hopefully, we'll get him back as soon as we can."

Wilkerson has recorded a team-high 4.5 sacks this season and has never missed a game. The fourth-year pro is considered to be the Jets' best defensive player along with defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson.
