Herron practiced well last week according to coach Chuck Pagano, and could start again Sunday against Washington depending on his practice performance in the coming days, Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star reports.

Analysis:

Herron drew the start this past Sunday against the Jaguars, recording 12 carries for 65 yards and five catches for 31 receiving yards. Meanwhile, fellow RB Trent Richardson had 13 carries for 42 rushing yards and a touchdown in the game. Regardless of who gets the starting nod in Week 13, we'd expect some form of a time-share to be in play, but in any case, it's clear that in the absence of Ahmad Bradshaw, Herron will continue to see his share of touches in the Indy offense going forward. Something to keep an eye on, however, is Herron's ball security; last week, he lost a fumble in the red zone, and later had trouble with a handoff from Andrew Luck.
