Report: Rams' Chris Long to be activated from IR-recall

It appears St. Louis Rams defensive end Chris Long is set to make his long-awaited return to the field.
After sitting out the team's past 10 games with an ankle injury, Long will be activated from IR-recall ahead of Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Jim Thomas.
Long returning to the field will be a key addition for an already strong Rams defensive front that has been one of the league's best in getting after opposing quarterbacks of late.
The 29-year-old started all 16 games in five of his first six seasons in the NFL, tallying an impressive 50.5 sacks over that span.
