Report: Texans' Ryan Mallett may miss several weeks with pectoral injury
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports
Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Mallett suffered a right pectoral injury during Sunday's 22-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, according to the Houston Chronicle's John McClain.
Mallett will undergo an MRI Monday and could be out for several weeks if the scan reveals a tear in his pectoral.
The Texans' quarterback went 21-of-45 for 189 yards and an interception in a losing effort Sunday.
If Mallett can't play, Ryan Fitzpatrick will be re-inserted into the starting lineup. Fitzpatrick completed 61.8 percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions prior to being benched.
