Colts overcome sloppy start to dominate Jaguars

Pat Lovell / USA TODAY Sports

The Indianapolis Colts (7-4) were able to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-10) 23-3 in an ugly game that featured five turnovers and very little offense. The Colts did enough to hold off the sputtering Jaguars, who were unable to capitalize on three turnovers.

Still, Indianapolis could not have looked worse in the blowout win.

Here's what you need to know:

  • The Colts turned the ball over twice in the first half on two Andrew Luck fumbles.
  • The Jaguars had just 21 passing yards after three quarters. They ended the game with 146 yards through the air and 80 yards on the ground.
  • Luck was 21-of-32 for 253 yards passing and a touchdown. His streak of 300-yard passing games ended at eight.
  • The Colts turned things around after the half, scoring their only two touchdowns of the game in the third quarter. It was enough against the anaemic Jaguars.
  • Injuries to Dwayne Allen, Ahmad Bradshaw and Gosder Cherilus really hampered the Colts' pass protection early, with Luck being sacked a season-high five times.
  • T.Y. Hilton managed to catch four balls for 122 yards and a touchdown.
