49ers' NaVorro Bowman to meet with Dr. James Andrews

The San Francisco 49ers have enlisted the help of world-renowned surgeon Dr. James Andrews.
Andrews operated on NaVorro Bowman's knee in February and has flown to the Bay Area to meet with the 49ers' star linebacker.
Bowman suffered a gruesome torn ACL and MCL during last January's NFC Championship Game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The 49ers opened a 21-day practice/evaluation window for Bowman on Tuesday, but the linebacker has yet to participate in practice.
San Francisco has until Dec. 9 to place Bowman on injured reserve.
