Every Monday and Friday, theScore's NFL editors will bring you a roundup of everything you need to know from around the division with the NFC East Notebook.

Philadelphia Eagles

Sanchez takes a step back. After an impressive performance in his first start with the Eagles, quarterback Mark Sanchez took a step back in Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers, throwing two interceptions and losing two fumbles.

Defense struggles against Packers. While the Eagles' defense has performed well at times this season, Sunday's game against the high-powered Packers offense saw the unit seriously exposed.

McCoy says Eagles still better than Packers. Despite the 53-20 blowout loss in Green Bay, running back LeSean McCoy insists the Eagles are still the better team overall.

Washington Redskins

RG3 looking for more from teammates. Following Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III said he needed his teammates to play well for him to be able to do the same.

Redskins searching for answers. After a disappointing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers dropped them to 3-7, the Redskins don't have many answers as to why their talented team hasn't been able to put it all together.

Williams dealing with knee/ankle injury. Trent Williams left Sunday's game with what looked to be a serious leg injury, but the left tackle is relieved to have escaped with sprains to his right MCL and right ankle.

New York Giants

Manning struggles with turnovers. Quarterback Eli Manning threw five interceptions in Sunday's loss to the 49ers, by far his worst performance of the season.

Defense steps up. While the Giants were unable to come away with the victory, the defense performed far better than many would have expected, giving the team a chance to win until the very end.

Questionable play-calling. With the Giants in position to score a go-ahead touchdown from the 4-yard line late in the game, the offense dialed up three consecutive fade patterns to the outside, refusing to run the ball.

Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys gain ground in bye week. Week 11 worked out quite well for the Cowboys despite being off on a bye, as all three NFC East foes lost their games.

Bryant a candidate for franchise tag. If the Cowboys and Dez Bryant are unable to work out a long-term extension, the team would likely use the franchise tag on the star wide receiver to prevent him from reaching the free-agent market.

Witten knew Romo was special early on. Teammates since being part of the same rookie minicamp back in 2003, Cowboys tight end Jason Witten knew Tony Romo would be a special quarterback from the time he was running the scout team and giving the defense fits in practice.
