Analysis:

Sims was selected in the third round of the most recent draft, so the Lovie Smith regime clearly had a particular use in mind for him when they added him to the roster in May. Whether that was as a potential feature back role or as a pass-catching complement to Doug Martin isn't obviously clear, but Sims ought to see the field early and potentially often as he shakes off the rust in the upcoming weeks, because it's increasingly appearing as if Martin doesn't have a long-term role with the Buccaneers. Moreover, Tampa Bay has an interest in evaluating younger players like Sims as they attempt to continue the rebuilding process. Sims isn't a powerful runner and isn't especially fast or quick, but he moves smoothly for the most part and is likely well above the league average as a receiver. He is particularly interesting for his PPR upside, but he's worth stashing in many leagues, PPR or not.
