Romo: 'If it turns out to be just the pain tolerance, I will play'

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is willing to play through the pain.

CT scans performed on Wednesday showed that Romo suffered no structural or organ damage when he injured his back on Monday night against the Washington Redskins.

Owner Jerry Jones said that the three-time Pro Bowler's involvement in this week's game hinges on how much pain Romo can handle.

Apparently pain tolerance won't be an issue.

"If it turns out to be just the pain tolerance, I will play," Romo told reporters Wednesday, as relayed by the Dallas Star-Telegram. "That part of it has never been an issue."

According to Romo, pain tolerance isn't the only factor to take into consideration before he can decide whether or not he should take the field against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

"It'll be about the ability to be productive in some fashion," Romo said. "That part of it will just continue to be evaluated."
