Browns' Jordan Cameron could miss next 2 games after suffering concussion

As Jordan Cameron goes through the NFL's concussion protocol, the Cleveland Browns are bracing for the possibility of being without their starting tight end for the next two games.

Cameron suffered a concussion - his third in as many years - after getting drilled by Oakland Raiders safety Brandian Ross in the first half of Sunday's game. Ross was given for a personal foul for hitting a defenseless receiver.

The Browns' next two games take place in an 11-day span, which makes it likely Cameron will miss at least one of the matchups. Cleveland claimed tight end Ryan Taylor off waivers from the Baltimore Ravens on Monday, presumably as insurance.

"The league, as they should be, is very deliberate with the (concussion) protocol,'' head coach Mike Pettine said, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "You just take each day and see where he is symptom-wise. I haven't gotten the full medical report yet today. I'll probably know a little bit more later this afternoon."

Cameron has 13 receptions for 250 yards and one touchdown so far this season.
