Bears guard Matt Slauson to miss rest of season with torn pectoral muscle

As the Chicago Bears feared, guard Matt Slauson is out for the season with a torn right pectoral muscle.

The injury will not require surgery and Slauson is expected to be recovered in time for the offseason.

Slauson, who missed three games earlier this season with an ankle injury, was spotted leaving the Bears' locker room Sunday with his right arm in a sling.

Bears head coach Marc Trestman said the team will consider moving Jordan Mills from right tackle to left guard as a replacement for Slauson.
