Tennessee Titans running back Shonn Greene was arrested Friday on charges including leaving the scene of an accident, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports.

Greene was charged with illegally parking in a handicap spot, driving on a revoked/suspended license, reckless driving and resisting an officer's attempt to stop and frisk him.

Greene allegedly tried to drive away after being approached by a parking enforcement officer who spotted him illegally parked in a handicap spot. Police allege Greene nearly hit a police car with his own vehicle before speeding away.

A police investigation revealed Greene was the driver and authorities contacted the Titans and arranged for the veteran tailback to turn himself in.

Greene started at running back for the Titans early this season, but in recent weeks has battled a hamstring injury (that forced him to miss two games) and seen his role on the offense greatly diminished.
