Coach Jay Gruden won't make a decision on active status for Griffin (ankle) until one hour before Monday's 8:30 PM ET kickoff at Dallas, NFL.com reports.

Analysis:

Griffin is "steadily progressing" in his recovery, according to Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL Network, but Thursday morning has come and gone without a definitive report from Gruden on the quarterback's left ankle. Nevertheless, Gruden all but confirmed Colt McCoy as Monday's starter, stating "oh yeah" when queried. While McCoy seems certain to be under center Monday, Griffin himself logged a second limited practice in a row Thursday, which included a handful of first-team reps. As his health allows for additional practice reps, though, Gruden will have to walk a tight rope of keeping McCoy in the loop while ensuring Griffin is growing accustomed to live action once again.
