Report: Chargers' Jason Verrett unlikely to play Thursday vs. Broncos
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters
San Diego Chargers safety Jason Verrett is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Denver Broncos but is unlikely to play, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
A rookie first-round draft pick, Verrett has 18 tackles and an interception this season, playing well enough to make a case for Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.
Verrett will test his shoulder in pre-game warmups Thursday to determine if he's healthy enough to play.
