Dixon is in line for an expanded role with the Bills in the coming weeks, with both Fred Jackson (groin) and C.J. Spiller (collarbone) out indefinitely, the team's official site reports.

Analysis:

Following Jackson's and Spiller's injuries Sunday, Dixon was pressed into the Bills' lead role, but moving forward, he figures to work in combo with Bryce Brown. While Brown has yet to suit up in a regular season contest for the Bills to date, it wouldn't surprise to see him move into a big role in Week 8's game against the Jets, given the flashes of potential he displayed when handed increased duties during his (2012-13) stint with the Eagles. While Dixon is no doubt in line to factor in as well, notably in short-yardage situations, and thus meriting a speculative add to see how the situation plays out, Brown would appear to offer more fantasy upside to those looking to replace Jackson and/or Spiller.
