Brown is in line for an expanded role with the Bills in the coming weeks, with both Fred Jackson (groin) and C.J. Spiller (collarbone) out indefinitely, the team's official site reports.

Analysis:

The same applies to fellow running back Boobie Dixon, who was pressed into the Bills' lead role in Sunday's win over the Vikings, following Jackson and Spiller's injuries. That said, while Brown has been inactive for the Bills' first seven games, during his two-season stint with the Eagles (2012-13), he displayed flashes of potential when handed increased duties. While Dixon is no doubt in line to factor in as well, notably in short-yardage situations, Brown would appear to offer more fantasy upside to those looking to replace Jackson or Spiller, or simply looking to boost their running back corps heading into Week 8.
