Griffin (ankle) is expected to return to practice Wednesday, the Washington Post reports. He's been out since dislocating his ankle on Sept. 14. Coach Jay Gruden has stated in the past that he wants to see Griffin practice for two weeks before putting him back on the field.

Analysis:

The team plans to put Griffin through a rigorous workout this week to see how the ankle responds. At this stage, it seems unlikely that he'll return to the Washington lineup this coming weekend, with a potential Week 9 return against Minnesota appearing to be a more plausible scenario. We'll let you know, however, if that assessment changes in the coming days.
