The Buffalo Bills may be able to get running back Fred Jackson sooner than expected.

Jackson suffered a groin injury during Sunday's win over the Minnesota Vikings, and was carted off the field.

However, the Bills veteran remains optimistic on his road to recovery.

"It's not as bad as it could have been. No surgery required, so I'll rehab and get back as soon as I can," Jackson told WGR 550 on Monday morning.

"Anytime you hear 'you're done' as a player, it crushes you," Jackson said.

It was reported that Jackson could be out for up to four weeks, but he plans to play before Week 11.

Jackson wasn't the only Bills running back to suffer a serious injury. C.J. Spiller reportedly broke his collarbone on his lone rush of the game and is scheduled to have surgery Monday morning according to Jackson.

The 33-year-old expressed his full confidence in fellow Bills running back Bryce Brown, who is expected to split carries with Anthony Dixon.

"He's an every-down back. He can do it all."

Buffalo moved to 4-3 with the win over the Vikings and trail the New England Patriots in the AFC East.
