Giants' Victor Cruz undergoes successful surgery on torn patellar tendon

The New York Giants confirmed Monday that receiver Victor Cruz underwent successful surgery to repair his torn patellar tendon.

The loss of Cruz is a big blow for the Giants who now have to rely on wide receivers Rueben Randle and Odell Beckham to pick up the slack.

Cruz's season ended early last season as well after a procedure on his left knee. This time it's on the right side, and an injury that will require a far longer rehabilitation.
