The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to be without top receiving option A.J. Green on Sunday when they take on the Carolina Panthers, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.
This latest report comes after Green's meeting with a foot doctor Thursday morning. The fourth-year pro is dealing with a toe injury that Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis described as "a little bit more than" turf toe.
The injury kept Green out of the Bengals' Week 3 win over the Atlanta Falcons, and caused him to leave practice on a cart Wednesday after re-aggravating the injury.
This latest flare up stems from the "same bottom-of-the-foot injury as before," according to Rapoport. A long-term prognosis is not yet known.
