Bengals' Marvin Lewis: A.J. Green's injury 'a little bit more than' turf toe

The availability of Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers is becoming more in doubt by the minute.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis was asked in an interview Thursday on Sirius XM NFL Radio if Green had turf toe.

"It's a little bit more than that," said Lewis.

The injury caused Green to miss the team's Week 3 win over the Atlanta Falcons and this latest flare up could cost him several more contests.

The Bengals are already without pass catchers Tyler Eifert and Marvin Jones, but offensive coordinator Hue Jackson believes the team will be fine without them.

"That's why I never put together a game plan based on one guy," Jackson said, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer. "We're not going to crash our game plan. As a coordinator, you just have to adapt. You never know what might happen. When we started the Atlanta game, I thought he was playing. We kept playing. We want to have all of our guys out there and if they are, they are. If they're not, they're not.

"They're not going to cancel the game. We have to go play."
