Vikings' Brian Robison says team may have 'checked out' during loss to Packers

The Minnesota Vikings were routed 42-10 by the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, and defensive end Brian Robison was fuming afterwards.

Robison recorded two tackles in a losing effort and wasn't pleased with his team's attitude at halftime.

"The mood was almost like some people had checked out, and you know what? I'm just going to be blunt and say it: It can never be that way," Robison said to John Shipley of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

"This is the team I've felt like, all along, has fought and scratched no matter what type of adversity we have faced, and I felt like we didn't have that last night."

The Vikings trailed 28-0 at halftime and were outplayed from the very beginning of the game.

"I just felt like at times last night that they had more of a will to win that game than we did, and that can never happen when you're playing in a game."

With the loss, the Vikings fell to 2-3. Although Robison was outraged with his team's effort, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer didn't share his sentiments.

"I respect Brian's opinion, but when I watched the tape, I didn't see that. And I looked for it, hard," Zimmer said.

"Defensively, I think what he's talking about is we maybe lost the fire a little bit."

The Vikings have a chance to rebound in Week 6 against their fellow NFC North opponent Detroit Lions.
