Nick Foles admits to playing through a bruised shoulder

Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles admitted he has been playing with an injured left shoulder and characterized the injury as "just a couple of bruises," on his non-throwing arm, according to delawareonline.com.

Foles' performance in Week 4 was poor and he was seen grabbing his left shoulder after taking a hit. He didn't connect on a single pass over 20 yards in the game, going 21-of-43 with two interceptions.

Eagles' offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur indicated that Foles needed to work on his mechanics and that "everybody's got to clean up their fundamentals," something Foles said he would do this week in practice.
