Moore (shoulder) will be placed on the Falcons' injured reserve/designated-to-return list, ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Moore suffered a serious shoulder injury during Sunday's game and will consequently be ruled out for the foreseeable future, representing a major blow to a Falcons team currently ranked 31st in total defense. The 29-year-old entered this season coming off a career year that included 86 tackles (67 solo), three interceptions, three forced fumbles, two recovered fumbles, two sacks and seven passes defensed. Once Moore was forced to exit Sunday's game, second-year player Kemal Ishmael replaced him at strong safety and defensive coordinator Mike Nolan also deployed regular three-safety sets, with rookie Dez Southward joining veteran free safety Dwight Lowery and Ishmael at the back.
